VHP demands ‘exemplary action’ against militants, their ‘sympathisers’

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded “exemplary action” against the militants and their “sympathisers” in Jammu and Kashmir, besides seeking lifting of curfew from parts of Jammu.

“Government of India should take killing of CRPF personnel in Pulwama as a wakeup call and wipe out all militants and their sympathisers operating in Jammu and Kashmir,” Leela Karan Sharma, state president VHP told reporters while addressing a press conference.

He said it was high time to act against the militants and their “handlers” within the state or sitting across the border.

Criticizing the state administration for imposing curfew in Jammu for past five days, he said, “People of Jammu are being punished for taking stand of armed forces and raising voice against anti-nationals.”

Saying that VHP “is proud of the martyrs and stands with their families along with entire nation,” Sharma said and condemned the “anti national slogans being raised by a section of society in Jammu from time to time”. He warmed the administration to control “these elements and put them in prison.”

He also condemned imposition of curfew and “conduct” of police personnel who he said reportedly misbehaved with “nationalist Dogras by using filthy language.”
