Samba, May 22: Former minister and Senior Vice President Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh BJP Surjeet Singh Slathia today described a vibrant private sector as key to job generation, saying these open up vistas of opportunities for professionals, skilled and unskilled work-force.
Inaugurating a jewellery shop at Samba, Slathia highlighted the importance of private entrepreneurship and said these create job givers and contribute to productivity.
“It is better to be a job provider than a job seeker”, Slathia said, adding that drive and initiative among youth in establishing profit generating units could be the answer to burgeoning unemployment in a place like Jammu. Entrepreneurship assumes immense significance in the modern times, he said and hoped that a positive approach and progressive vision in the private sector can be beneficial to society. “It is an ethical responsibility of the entrepreneurs to ensure supply of credible products at affordable prices. Credulity is a huge investment in the business sector and those engaged in entrepreneurship should understand it for having harmonious relationships with clientele,” BJP leader maintained.
