Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Kashmir Prof Mehraj-ud-Din Mir called on Governor Satya Pal Malik, at the Raj Bhavan here on Friday, an official spokesman said.
He said that Prof Mir informed Governor about the ongoingresearch and academic programmes in the University and the other challengesrelating to the rapid growth of this institution.
Meanwhile, a delegation of J&K Panchayat Assembly led byits President Manzoor Ahmed also called on Governor Malik and requested him to provide accommodation/security cover to panchs and sarpanchs and municipal councilors; empowering allsarpanchs and panchs as per Panchayat Act 1996; They also raised many otherissues.
