WCI ceremony on Feb 6

Western Command is going to organize an Investiture Ceremony on February 6 to award Army officers and soldiers at Mamun Military Station for their exceptional bravery and outstanding service.

Lieutenant General RP Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command will present these awards to the army officers and soldiers.

   

According to the Defense PRO, the Investiture Ceremony will be held with military elan and splendour by the ‘Gurj Division’ under the aegis of Rising Star Corps to honour the exceptional bravery and outstanding service rendered by officers and soldiers of the Indian Army.

The awards will include presentation of one Yudh Seva Medal, 35 Sena Medals for Gallantry, six Sena Medals for Distinguished Service and 10 Vishisht Seva Medals. Also, 18 select units of Western Command which have distinguished themselves professionally will be presented with the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command Unit Appreciation Award.
