A woman was seriously injured after she accidently slipped down a hillock here at Nihoch village- 30km away from Tehsil headquarter Mahore.
As per police, Shariefa begum wife of Roshan din resident of Nihoch age 32years was cutting grass for her cattle when she fell down from a hill and sustained serious injuries.
The injured woman was brought to Mahore hospital where from she was referred to Government medical College Hospital Jammu.
Meanwhile locals slammed the Mahore hospital authorities for not providing ambulance to shift the patient to the hospital despite repeated requests.
"The locals brought the woman all the way to Angralla-the nearest connected village on Charpoy covering 10 KM distance on foot with the hope that from there Ambulance will be provided. But despite repeated requests, the concerned BMO did not provided Ambulance to shift her to the Mahore hospital" locals complained. They said that after waiting for three hours the poor family was forced to hire a private vehicle by spending huge amount.
Due to delay, the condition of the patient deteriorated further, while the doctors at the Mahore Hospital referred the case to Jammu that too without providing first aid, local alleged further.
"When asked about the denial of Ambulance, the BMO said that he cannot go himself and carry the patient" they said.
