The Management, staff and students of JK Public School, Kunjwani today celebrated World Red Cross day to explore the work and principles of this movement among young people in the school premises. The students of the School organized a special assembly highlighting the importance of this day.
On the occasion S K Singh, principal of the school in his address said that we should also initiate a volunteer Red Cross Club in our school so that we can make our students learn the required lifesaving skills. He also stressed on learning the first aid tips which can save lives at the time of disaster.
It is pertinent to mention, World Red Cross Day is celebrated on 8th May each year to honour the fonder of International Red Cross Crescent Movement, Henry Dunant and to pay tribute to the people who have laid their volunteer services for the mankind. This day highlights how one can help individual and communities coping in crisis. GKNN
