Pulwama, Apr 14: A 40-year-old woman died while five others were injured in an accident in Charsoo, Awantipora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday.
The dead woman has been identified as Saima Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Dar of Panzgam, Awantipora.
A Police official said that the accident occurred following a collision between an SUV and a Tavera cab at around 4 pm.
He said that the driver of one of the vehicles lost control of the wheel and hit some pedestrians, resulting in the death of Jan and injuries to five others.
According to officials, the injured were shifted to Public Health Centre (PHC) Awantipora for treatment.
“Later, four of them were sent to SMHS, given the grave nature of their injuries,” the official said.
