One week workshop on “The Basics of Econometrics and its Applications” concluded at IUST. The Workshop was organized Department of Economics, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUS) from 1st to 7th July, an IUST spokesman said in a statement.
He said that the mainfocus of the workshop was to familiarize the technical dimensions ofeconometrics and its application in the field of Economics, Commerce andManagement.
More than forty participants were shortlisted for the participationsfrom different universities and colleges across the country.
Three invited speakers from outside the state engaged thetechnical sessions. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi was the ChiefGuest during the inaugural session while Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. A.M. Shah& Registrar, Syed ReyazRufai were the Guests of Honour. HOD Economics, Prof A S Bhat delivered thewelcome address and Coordinator DrJavid Ahmad Khan presented the vote of thanksto the dignitaries Deans, Heads and Participants.
