10 injured in Kangan road accidents

At least 10 persons were injured in separate road accidents in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.

Officials said that a car (SWIFT) JKO1H-9053 collided withanother car ( i -20) JKO1AJ-6365 resulting injuries to six persons travellingin both the cars.

   

The injured were rushed to sub district hospital Kanganwhere from they were referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment. Theinjured were identified as Hatim Khan, Afeef Ahmad, Jazim Ahmad Khan ofAnantnag and Manzoor Ahmad, Muhammad,Tabasum Jaan and Muhammad Aafan ofIllahibagh Soura.

In the second accident on Srinagar-Leh highway in Kanganarea, police said a taxi cab (JK03E/2932) hit and injured Rayees Ahmad Mir ofDrughtango Kangan.

He was brought to SDH kangan for treatment where fromdoctors referred him to SMHS Hospital for further treatment.

In the third accident, police said a truck (JK05B/7132) hitand injured a woman identified as Zaitoon Begum (45) of Ramwari Gund-Kangan.

She was hospitalised.

Meanwhile, officials said that an Army vehicle hit andinjured a pedestrian at Kullan Kangan. The injured identified as Firdous AhmadSheikh (13) of Kullan was rushed to PHC Kullan where from he was referred toSDH Kangan. Police has taken cognizance of all the cases and taken upinvestigation.
