SSeventeen persons were injured in clashes with the security forces near the site of a gunfight in Adkhara village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
Reports said that three out of seventeen persons hit bypellets were referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.
One among the injured has suffered a bullet injury in hisleg following which he was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Earlier, the killing of three militants during a gunfightwith the security forces in triggered violent protests in Adkhara.
An official said the security forces called off theoperation following the killing of three militants.
He said the identification of the slain militants is beingascertained.
