2-day Kashmir fest Shikara concludes

Srinagar, Nov 6: The two-day Kashmir fest Shikara aimed to promote Kashmir and Kashmiriyat concluded in Delhi on Monday.
Lieutenant Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha inaugurated the event on November 4, 2023.A statement from the organisers Kashmir Education, Culture, and Science Society (KECSS) issued here said that the event was also attended by Shikha Rai and witnessed a live performance by Aabha Hanjura, which left the crowd mesmerised.

Cabinet Minister of Delhi Government Saurabh Bharadwaj also attended the event. The event had around 16 niche stalls to showcase Kashmiri cuisine and culture including artefacts, handloom, clothing, and spices.
The event witnessed a huge turnout on both days and the crowd was a great mix of people from all communities and religions.

   

“This event was created to promote Kashmir and Kashmiriyat. This year, in its second avatar, the event not only has become grand but at the same time been able to attract more cultures and communities to experience Kashmiri culture, and hospitality,” KECSS General Secretary Kapil Kaul said.

“The event witnessed youth participation which tells us that we are going in the right direction,” KECSS spokesperson, Savita Koul Shali said.
The event was co-powered by Invest Mango, Jayanti Motors Pvt Limited in Association with DBS Bank while Poshte was the gifting partner and Excitel internet partners.
