Two day training-cum-workshop was conducted by the Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department Srinagar for strengthening of Electronic Public Distribution System (e-PDS) concluded here, a statement said.
It said the training was held by the SPMU team, Departmentof FCS&CA J&K. Various officers and others from all the districts ofKashmir participated in the workshop. “They were made aware about the need andimportance of the various aspects of e-PDS. The training program focused ondata purification by means of verification and rectification at the groundlevel. The program also focused on the online transportation and transactionsof foodgrains through PoS devices which has already been introduced by theDepartment to ensure hassle free distribution of foodgrains to the bonafiderationees,” the statement added.The officials of the department were briefedabout the importance of the Aadhar seeding with the Ration card data, thestatement added.
