A pall of gloom descended on Sogam and Vilgam villages in Kupwara district after the news of the death of two police constables, killed in Sopore blast, reached the areas. Muhammad Amin of Sogam was appointed in Armed Police in 2014. He has left behind a four year old son. “Amin called his wife Shariqa only half an hour before his killing,” his brother Khursheed Ahmad told Greater Kashmir. He said that they were informed by the officials of Police Station Sogam about the killing.
Large number of people participated in the funeral of Amin which was held in EidgahSogam late in the afternoon.
Hundreds of people also participated in the funeral of Parvaiz Ahmad Mir in Vilgam area of Handwara. He left behind a two year old son.
