At least two timber smugglers were arrested and illicit timber seized from their possession in central Kashmir’s district Ganderbal, Police said on Sunday.
Officers from Police Station Lar headed by Station House officer (SHO) arrested two timber smugglers and seized 29 logs of illicit timber from their possession.
They have been identified as Zahoor Ahmed Khan resident of Lar (B) and Muzaffar Ahmed Khan resident of Gutlibagh Wayil Wodder and seized 29 logs of illicit Timber from their possession. They have been shifted to Police Station Lar where they remain in custody.
A case FIR No. 70/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Lar & investigation into the matter has been initiated.
