Two persons received burn injuries Sunday afternoon after fire broke out inside a mosque hamam, a traditional central heating room, followed by an explosion of pipes in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A police official said the incident occurred at around 12:15pm in Chowgam village of the districtwhen the hamam of Jamia Masjid Hanfia was being cleaned.
He identified the injured as Muhammad Yousuf Dar andMuhammad Yasin Dar.
The injured, according to the official, were rushed to thedistrict hospital, Shopian from where they had been sent to SMHS, Srinagar foradvanced treatment.
The fire trucks immediately rushed to the spot and put outthe blaze. GKNN
