20-yr-old girl loses foot in landmine blast along LoC in Uri

Srinagar, Dec 22: A 20-year-old girl lost her foot in a landmine blast along Line of Control in Hathlanga village in Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday afternoon, news agency GNS reported.

According to report, the girl identified as Masooma Bano, daughter of Juma Chachi suffered left foot injury in the landmine blast when she was reportedly grazing sheep close to her home.

   

A health official told GNS that they received a girl at SDH hospital with severe leg injury even as her left foot was cut off.

“After assessing her condition, she was referred to GMC Baramulla for preferential treatment”, the official said.
