Peoples League organized a prayer function at Sopore Graveyard to commemorate the 40th death anniversary of Bulla. 

"Peoples League supremo, Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob has paid glowing tributes to Bulla sahib on his death anniversary. ImtiyazReshi, Ghulam Muhammad Mir, MolviJavaid, Umer Khalid and TahoorSidiqi besides other leaders were present on the occasion and paid tributes to him," a PL spokesman said in a statement today.

Imtiyaz Reshi said "Ghulam Muhammad Bulla sacrificed his life on February 15, 1975 for leading a protest rally against Indira-Abdullah Accord in Sopore."

Meanwhile, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah also has paid tributes to Bulla, saying "the memories and sacrifices of the martyrs are the assets of our freedom struggle that gave direction to our genuine resistance movement."

"ShaheedBhulla was martyred in police custody after challenging Indira-Abdullah Accord by terming it as sell-out of Jammu Kashmir," Shah said in a statement today. 

"A DFP delegation comprising Naseer Ahmad, Muhammad Ibrahim, Riyaz Ahmad and Manzoor Ahmad today visited the graveyard of ShaheedBhulla in Sopore and prayed for his highest status in Jannah," a DFP spokesman said in a statement.

Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir leaders including Islamic Political Party chairman Muhammad YousufNaqash and Muslim Conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar have also paid tributes to Bulla on his anniversary.

In a statement the leaders said, "Bulla was a brave young freedom fighter and remained committed to the cause of Kashmir's freedom to the end of his short life."
