Hundreds of Academic Arranged Teachers for the year 2014, staged a massive demonstration here on Monday, demanding the continuation of their services.
According to reports, scores of AAT teachers gathered in the premises of deputy commissioner Baramulla office here this morning and staged a demonstration in favour of continuation of their services.
Protesters while talking to Greater Kashmir said that they were appointed on the basis of merit vide state Govt order no 482- EDU of 2014 at vacant posts.
However, the authorities have not issued any further order for the continuation of our service, resulting in panic among hundreds of serving temporary teachers.
" We are concerned as there has been no continuation order from the authorities yet. Our livelihood is totally dependent on this job and if authorities don't issue fresh orders of our continuation our family will face starvation" said an agitated temporary teacher.
The agitating temporary teachers also requested the newly formed Govt to frame a policy for the continuation of their services.
