Srinagar, Nov 9: "As men in uniform, we look to the citizens of the Nation to understand the tremendous effort being invested by the Army in Kashmir, in all its diverse mediums and it is heartwarming to see that this is occurring."
This was stated by Chinar Corps Commander, Lt General, S A Hasnain while addressing a gathering on the inauguration of an 'Cataract and Eye Camp' at the Army Hospital here.
"It is my request to the Rotarians of Kolkata go forth and spread the word as out ambassadors that together we must endeavour, in the service of the people," Lt General Hasnain said,
The camp, according to defense communiqué would conclude on November 19. "The medical camp heralds a very noble effort to improve eyesight of the cataract afflicted and attend to eye-ailments of so many others. This initiative will see patients from all over Kashmir," it added.
It said that people from as far as Kolkata, were taking note of the effort of the Army in the service of the people in Kashmir. "The initiative from Rotary Club of Kolkata as co-opted during the camp is welcome and commendable," it added.
