Srinagar, Oct 9: The local cable TV channel operators Saturday held a meeting to discuss the "ban" imposed by the government on their transmissions.
The members strongly denounced the government "ban" asserting it had badly hit the people associated with the channels. "We don't know why the government has banned the transmission of our programmes," they said in a statement here.
The government, they said, must immediately lift the ban so that people are not deprived of the necessary information. "There are over 3000 people associated with the channels. Their employment has been directly hit due to the ban. The government must review it," they said.
