Srinagar, Nov 9: Democratic Political Movement (Andrabi faction), a constituent of Hurriyat Conference (M), was on Saturday rechristened as Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF).
Addressing a news conference here KFF chairman Syed Bashir Andrabi said: "Kashmir issue has many dimensions that includes historical, geographic and most importantly the human dimension. Our party's view is quite obvious that this is an internationally recognized issue that can only be settled as per aspirations of the people of the state and the implementation of the UN resolutions provides the best mechanism,"
"On behalf of Democratic Political Movement I would like to inform we have decided to change our party's name to Kashmir Freedom Front. Party shall remain as constituent of Hurriyat Conference (M)."
He said Sayeed Abdullah Gilani has been nominated as KFF senior vice-chairman, Molvi Mushtaq as general secretary, Muhammad Akbar Dar, as deputy chairman, M Hussain Madni as chief organizer, and Hakeem Masood, publicity secretary.
