National spokesperson and national youth president of Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) Sanjay Saraf Monday said that youth lodged in jails on stone pelting cases should be granted general amnesty.
In a statement issued here, Saraf has urged Mufti led government to issue orders of release of the youth lodged in jails on stone pelting charges.
"We urge government to withdraw also the cases against the youth allegedly involved in stone pelting cases. Government must grant general amnesty to all these youth," reads handout.
Saraf has also urged government to create job opportunities to the educated unemployed youth.
"Ram Vilas Paswan had taken initiative in the interest of people and granted steel plant which could have provided employment to thousand local Kashmiri youth.
However, Omar Abdullah led government created hurdles for it," he said.
"The Mufti led government can make the project operative and can provide employment to hundreds of local youth," Saraf said.
Saraf has urged authorities' to provide basic facilities to the people residing in Habba Kadal constituency and repair dilapidated roads.
He has also urged authorities to provide all possible facilities to the people in valley against the threat of swine flu.
