Srinagar, Nov 9: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik was on Friday operated upon at Fortis Hospital, Delhi for kidney ailment.
"It took doctors about 4 hours to complete the surgery. His condition, according to doctors is stable and he has been kept in intensive care unit (ICU). Doctors have removed stones from the both the kidneys but have fixed some stunts. The stunts will be removed after 2 or three weeks," said a spokesman of the Front in a statement today, appealing people to pray for his speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, Front has paid rich tributes to Shaheed Shariq Ahmad Bakshi who laid down his life for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir. A prayer meeting was held at Mazar-e- Shuhada, Barzalla, in which senior JKLF leaders including advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Showkat Ahmad Bakshi (brother of the martyr), Mir Muhammad Zaman, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Prof Javed and Moulana Rabbani participated in the meeting. While praying for the martyrs and freedom of Jammu Kashmir, participants paid rich tributes to martyrs.
