Srinagar, Oct 9: Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) celebrated world mental health day by organizing art exhibitions and other events to mark the day.
 Luis Ponte, Project Coordinator of MSF in a statement here said: "Mental health is very important for the overall wellbeing of individuals especially in areas where people suffer from ongoing tensions and violence. Yet only a minority of those living with these areas receive the care they deserve." Ponte said, MSF has roped in schools in an endeavour to bring in best among students through art work. It has selected art competition's theme for this year as "Conflict and mental health".
 "MSF continues providing free of cost counseling services in Srinagar, Sopore, Pattan and Baramulla. We encourage people to fight against stigma related to mental health. We need to spread the message that there is no health without mental health," said Nusrat Jan, MSF Counselor.
