Residents of several villages of Pulwama district have been asked by the authorities to stay away from orchards due to the presence of wild bears in the area.

The wild life authorities are urging people against visiting the orchards through public address system of mosques.

The residents of Muran, Hadipora, Mitrigam, Putrigams, Kachipora and Rajpora told GNS that three bears are roaming in their villages for past several days due to which people fear to go to the orchards and rice fields.
