Lashing out at BJP led central government for paying Army Rs 500 crore out of a disaster relief package given to Jammu and Kashmir for rescue operations during last year's devastating floods in the state, the Vice President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee  and MLC G N Monga Tuesday termed it as adding insult to the injuries of victims.

"Congress was since day one telling Mufti sahib that BJP isn't sincere towards Kashmir. Now they (BJP) have shown their true colours. Charging money from victims is unacceptable," Monga said in a statement.

Stating that Army had claimed that its help during floods was a humanitarian cause, he said, "It is very unfortunate that Army has now charged money for rescuing people who were in need of help."
