Demanding regularization of their jobs, monthly pension and releasing of pending salaries, Anganwari workers of Kashmir Tuesday staged protest demonstration against the state and central government here.
They assembled at Press Enclave here and alleged that instead of regularizing them, the government has been asking them to leave the job.
"We are being asked to leave the job. We were waiting for our regularization but instead the authorities are now telling us that they can't regularize us. It is injustice with us," Anganwari Workers Association president Tasleema Subhan told reporters.
They threatened to intensify protests in case their demands are not met.
