Three residential houses and an electric transformer were damaged in different fire incidents across the valley, a police spokesperson said.

Three residential houses and an electric transformer were damaged in different fire incidents across the valley, a police spokesperson said.

In Kupwara, he said, fire broke out in an electric transformer at Muqam Shah Wali Dragmulla, resulting in damage to the transformer. Fire tenders brought fire under control with the help of police and locals.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in a residential house of Mohammad Afzal Mir son of Samandar Mir resident of Chontiwari Sogam resulting in complete damage to the house, he said.

In Baramulla, fire broke out in a joint residential house of Mukhtar Ahmad son of Abdul Aziz and Imtiyaz Abbasi son of Ali Mohammed resident of Jalal Sahab Baramulla, resulting in partial damage to the house, he said.

In Ganderbal, he said, fire broke out in the residential house of Farooq Ahmad Awan son of Qulimudin resident of Wani Aram Wanagth, Kangan, resulting in complete damage to the house.

However, no loss of life or injury has been reported in these fire incidents, he added.
