Man dies in road mishap in Kashmir

A man died while two others were injured in three separate road accidents in Anantnag, Awantipora and Leh, police said.

A man died while two others were injured in three separate road accidents in Anantnag, Awantipora and Leh, police said.

In Anantnag, they said, a vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-4697 met with an accident at Hiller Shababad, Dooru, resulting in on spot death of its conductor Yawer Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Amin Shah a resident of Kond Qazigund. 

They said the body of deceased was handed over to his relatives and case has been registered in this regard.

In Awantipora, a motorcycle turned turtle at Awantipora near Kharmode, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist identified as Suhail Ahmad Khan resident of Booh Awantipora, they said.

The injured was shifted to Bone & Joint Hospital Barzalla for treatment. A case has been registered in this regard.

In Leh, a Mazda load carrier bearing registration number JK10-9651 met with an accident near Igg village resulting in injuries to its driver, they said.

The injured was shifted to SNM Hospital Leh for treatment. Leh police has registered a case in this regard, they added.
