Governor N.N. Vohra has expressed grief over the untimely passing on of J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, a spokesman said today.
In a condolence message, the Governor has conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Recalling his long association with Sayeed, the Governor described him as a senior seasoned politician and an astute administrator who was deeply committed to restoring the State to sustained peace and normalcy and carrying it forward to achieve rapid growth and development on all fronts.
The Governor observed that the gap created by Mufti Sahib's demise in the polity of the State would not be easy to fill, added the spokesman.
