JKTF backs Jan 30 protest call
The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers' Forum has endorsed the protest call for January 30, given by Forum chairman and Employees Joint Action Committee president Abdul Qayoom Wani to press for the demands of teaching community.
"A delegate session of JKTF chaired by Forum vice chairman Ghulam Rasool Bhat was held at Srinagar today in which central, provincial, district and zonal cadre leaders unanimously supported A Q Wani's protest call on 30 January," a Forum spokesman said.
"The speakers expressed concern over the issues like screening test of ReTs, ban on tuition, regularization of ReTs with five years' service and release of time-bond in their favour, delay in handing over of department to KAS officers, pay anomaly of Masters, delay in release of salaries of SSA, NPS, RMSA, SBM staff and delay in the regularization of KGBVs, SBM volunteers, gender coordinators and contractual employees of SSA and RMSA," the spokesman said.
The provincial president of JKTF, Muhammad Afzal Bhat, has appealed the employees of Education department in general, teaching community in particular, to make January 30 protest a success.
Muhammad Akbar Khan, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, Muhammad Iqbal Beigh, Sajad Ahmad, Arsalan Habib, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Akbar Dar, Mubarak Ahmad, Showket Ali Beigh and others attended the meeting.
