A local court here rejected the bail plea of a of pro-government gunman Papa Kishtwari and his aides saying that it could be considered only after going through facts and material available with the court.
The case of infamous government gunman Papa Kishtwari was listed before the court of Fourth Additional District Judge Srinagar, C L Bawaria.
The counsel for the complainant opposed the bail plea of Papa Kishtwari and his close aide and driver Ghulam Rasool Ganaie alias Gulzar. The counsel for the accused persons, Gaffar Mansoor, submitted that court has already directed to close the evidence in the case the trial was not concluded within three months as per the order passed in 2011.
However, the counsel for the complainant while accusing his opponent of misleading the court read the court order in right context and thus refuted the assertions made by the counsel of accused persons.
The counsel for the complainant stated that the accused and his associates have brutally murdered a contractor Ali Muhmmad Mir in broad day light and an FIR vide number 16/2007 under section 364, 342, 302, 201 of RPC stands registered in Police station Nishat.
After the arguments, the court, while rejecting any discussion on bail plea, listed the case for next hearing on 22 February 2016.
