Urging cadres to strengthen party at all levels, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has said Congress alone represented the aspirations of people in all the three regions of the state.
While the party served the people to the best of its ability, Congress would continue to remain committed for equitable development of all the regions, PCC chief said during his address to a gathering of party workers at Khour Jammu today.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Deputy Chairman LC Jehangir Husain Mir, vice president and MLA GM Saroori, former Minister Raman Bhalla and others also addressed the gathering
Expressing concern over the present chaos in absence of elected government in the state, PCC chief accused PDP and BJP for misleading people in the name of agenda of alliance.
He said people are being treated as slaves by both the parties and the present political drama staged by them is another attempt to hoodwink the masses like they have done in the Assembly elections in 2014.
The PCC chief exhorted the party cadres to remain steadfast in serving the people to the best of their ability.
He said Congress party has always been committed to reach out to the people for addressing the issues they are facing and it is the Congress alone which has been committed for betterment and development of the people.
Tara Chand, GM Saroori and Raman Bhalla also addressed the gathering.
