Islamic Study Circle (ISC) Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday organized a conference on 'Unity of Ummah: Importance and Needs' at Kunzar here.
Religious scholars and Ulemas associated with Majlis-e-Ithad-e-Milat Jammu and Kashmir participated in the conference.
Ameer Jama'at-e-Islami J&K, Ghulam Muhammad Bhat; Deputy Mufti Azam J&K, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam; Advocate Zahid Ali; Prof A R War; Moulana Noor Ahmad Trali; president Islamic Study Circle J&K, Dr Yusuf-ul-Umer; Gazi Hakeem Muhammad Masood and Moulana Ali Akbar spoke on the occasion.
Bhat, in his address, said that despite being 175 crores in 58 countries the Muslims were facing atrocities world over due to lack of unity among them. "However, I hope the sacrifices of Muslims won't go waste but bring fruit in future," he added.
