Commander of army's Srinagar based Chinar Corps, Lt Gen Satish Dua, on Friday refuted the reports that various projects and programmes, undertaken through Operation Sadhbavana have proved failures.
Talking to media persons on the sidelines of a function, held here during inaugural ceremony of 'Chinar 9 Jawan Club', Lt Gen Dua said that reports of failure of some programmes under Sadhbavana, like mini power projects, didn't fail.
"Projects which are being handled by army didn't fail. Many mini projects were handed over to the local population after their completion. However, rest of the projects are looked after by army and there is no question of their failure," he further said. Regarding the club, he said the 'Chinar 9 Jawan Club' will be equipped with the facilities including internet cafe, outdoor gymnasium, volleyball and basketball courts along with various welfare activities.
He said 70 such clubs will be opened across Kashmir.
