Patwaris across nine tehsils of central Kashmir's Budgam district are observing pen-down strike against a recent suspension of four revenue officials from Chadoora tehsil.
"We are protesting against the aristocratic approach of our higher ups which seem to have carried out the order in haste. There is no valid ground of suspending and attaching such competent officers who had discharged their duties as per the norms," said president Patwar Association Budgam Farooq Ahmad Ganaie.
Due to the strike, people are facing problems in getting their paper work done from tehsil offices.
"We will call off our strike only when this order is revoked," said Ganaie.
