1 dies, 48 hurt in road mishaps in JK

One person died while as forty eight others were injured in different road accidents in Jammu and Kashmir.

In Budgam, an unknown motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad of Mazhama in his native village in Magam area. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Magam where doctors declared him brought dead.

In Shopian, a motorcycle (JK22/625) hit and injured a minor girl Zaffar Bania of Devpora, Shopian at Herpora. She was shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for treatment. 

An auto rickshaw (JK18/1312) hit a minor boy Farhan Mehraj of Katrasoo, Kulgam at Yaripora. The injured boy was shifted to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar.

An unknown motorcycle hit and injured a pedestrian Muhammad Amin Bhat of Laisoo Kulgam at Arigatno Devsar. 

Meanwhile, around 45 people were today injured, two of them seriously, when a bus carrying a marriage party turned turtle in Rajouri district.

"The bus full of Baratis was on its way to Thandi Kassi from Saranu village when it turned turtle near Jamola bridge in Rajouri," a police officer said.

He said that 45 Baratis were injured in the mishap, two of them seriously.
