Army's local RR Battalion in Lolab area installed water filtration plants in three schools to address the issue of clean drinking water there.

"Potable water is an issue in Lolab and there are frequent cases of hepatitis. To ameliorate this hardship, three reverse osmosis water filtration plants of 70-litre per hour have been installed in three schools of Varnau, Kuligam and Maidanpora to provide safe drinking water to the children of the schools," a defence spokesman said today.
