A large number leaders and activists of various pro-resistance parties, social leaders, intellectuals, human rights activists, students and people from all walks of society participated in the meeting. The speakers while paying rich tributes to late Amanullah Khan, said, " Leaders and personalities like Aman ullah Khan are rarely born. Departed leader not only played a vital role in playing the foundation of resistance movement but was instrumental in boosting this movement on global level. Aman Sahib was a humble Muslim, a kind human being, a prolific writer and intellectual, a fiery speaker, a teacher, a thinker and a seasoned diplomat whose absence will be felt always. Aman Ullah Khan was a symbol of steadfastness, resilience, persistence and sacrifices who led this nation on all fronts including political, armed, social and diplomatic and left his mark in all these fields. He was a great organizer, a prolific writer and speaker, a seasoned diplomat and a wise political leader. He was who started this movement and it was his efforts and leadership that brought a historical revolution in Jammu Kashmir in 1990." Speakers said that Aman sahib's efforts to internationalize Kashmir issue can never be ignored or overlooked by anyone. "His write-ups, his books, pamphlets, and columns are a good source of knowledge for new generations and will remain so in future also," they added.
This meeting started early in the morning and people from all walks of life kept pouring in large numbers for the whole day.
At the end, the JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik thanked everyone who participated in meeting or conveyed their condolences over phone or through email or any other means. "Despite some ideological differences the way resistance camp including armed part of it unanimously showed their love and affection for Aman sahib and expressed condolence at his demise is a healthy and positive sign for the freedom movement and this has once again proved that we all are one for the liberation of our land," he said.
