Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has felicitated people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as Lylat-ul-Qadr, the holy night when people congregate to pray to Almighty Allah seeking His forgiveness.

Highlighting the importance of Shab-e-Qadr, the Chief Minister, in her message, stated that the holy night in which Almighty Allah revealed the Glorious Qu'ran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of mankind, gives us an opportunity to seek His mercy and blessings.

Mehbooba prayed for betterment of the people and hoped that the holy night would bring Allah's generosity to all. She also prayed that the auspicious occasion would strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the state.

The Chief Minister directed the divisional administrations to ensure that all facilities are provided to the people especially on account of transportation, water supply and electricity during the night of prayers.

She also asked the management of J&K Wakaf Board to provide required facilities at Asar-e-Sharief Hazratbal, and other Khanqahs and Masjids, which are thronged by devotees in large numbers for the night-long prayers at these shrines.
