Day after he accused the PDP and BJP of being in fixed match to sabotage the bill aimed at amending the Transfer of Property Act, National Conference Working President Omar Abdullah will today call on Governor N N Vohra to discuss the transfer of the bill to the Select Committee.
"A delegation of the J&K National Conference Legislative Party headed by Party Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah will call on the Honourable Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan Srinagar at 11:15 am today to discuss the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly especially those of 30th June, 2016 where the Land Transfer Bill was sent to the Select Committee," said a party spokesman.
The delegation would also discuss the passage of the Panchayati Raj Bill in the Assembly with the Honourable Governor, he added.
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly yesterday, Omar said the coalition government got entangled in its own trap. "You people brought the bill and now you are trapped," he said.
Omar said the PDP –BJP cabinet is inexperienced and "did not [know] what was in the bill. Your cabinet cleared the Bill and brought it in the Assembly."
