Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday denied the reports suggesting that an eight-year-old boy, identified as Junaid, was shot at for yelling at a police officer.

"Apropos a news item published in a newspaper titled, Junaid 8 was shot at for yelling at the SHO. The news story is far from the facts, concocted and fabricated," said a spokesman.
