Condemning the nocturnal forces' raids on residential houses, spree of arrests and harassing of people throughout Kashmir, Jammu Kashmir National Front Chairman, and Hurriyat (G) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan said such tactics were not going 'to break the will of the people' but would lead to further deterioration of the already grim situation.
Nayeem Khan in a statement today said, "India has already failed to break the resilience of Kashmiris."
He condemned the nocturnal raids throughout the valley and parts of Jammu besides denouncing the police raid on the residence of Imam of Tangmarg, Molvi Bilal and the threatening of his family members.
Stating that the killing of a lecturer, Shabir Ahmad Mungoo of Khrew was a cold-blooded custodial murder, Nayeem Khan said, "The act (of killing Shabir) is not only inhuman and brutal but has once again proved that India and its forces are least bothered about Kashmiri people and want to hold the land at any cost."
He further said, "Torturing people at Khrew, in their own houses and thrashing even women and elderly citizens and damaging their properties speaks volumes about the nature of forces and local collaborators. The perpetrators of Khrew incident are identified and known to the local population, still registering FIR against 'unknown forces' is nothing but to shield the culprits."
