Strongly condemning arrest and suspension of EJAC president Abdul Qayoom Wani, separatist leader and Chairman of Jammu Kashmir National Front Nayeem Ahmad Khan today said that "present regime has set new records of dictatorship and tyranny."
"The so-called government should read writing on the wall and shun the path of dictatorship. First 12 employees were sacked and now EJAC president has been placed under suspension, this only indicates how cruel the present regime is and how far it can go to please its masters in New Delhi and Nagpur. The so-called government and its masters are trying everything to kill and crush the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people, however it is sure to fail in its efforts like its predecessors," Khan, according to party statement said.
"So called political stalwarts could not defeat the freedom sentiment of Kashmiri people even they too had used every sort of oppression and suppression so the present regime should learn a lesson from the continuous resistance of the people including the government employees who are part and parcel of our society and the freedom struggle. Tyranny, oppression, dictatorship, autocracy and coercion cannot make the people of Kashmir to surrender before the military might of India so the agents of New Delhi must shun the path of suppression," he said.
"People will continue to press for their genuine political demand till the goal is achieved," Khan said. He condemned the ransacking of residential houses and arrests in Barzulla area in Srinagar
