The aspirants of National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) have appealed to the authorities to set up an exam centre in Kashmir region.
The students said that a lone exam centre in Jammu region for the test, starting December 5, would cause inconvenience to them.
"It is almost impossible to travel from the valley to Jammu at a time when flights are being cancelled everyday due to bad weather. The journey on the Srinagar-Jammu highway is equally dangerous and cumbersome," said a student.
Already, the Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has expressed their concern over absence of NEET centre in Kashmir for postgraduate (PG) medical courses.
The students said the non-availability of NEET exam centre in Kashmir will jeopardize the career of thousands of aspiring doctors.
