Incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has condemned raids and searches in Kashmir.
"When Kashmiris protest peacefully for their rights, they are brutalized by bullets and pellets. Pellets are showered on them to kill or to snatch their eyesight so that they are forced to live as handicapped. If same kind of protest is held in any Indian city like Chennai and even if the protest turns most violent, no one is hit by pellets, bullets or Pawa shells there," a spokesman of the Front, in a statement today, quoted Yasin Malik as having said.
Malik said, "this double standard clearly shows that Jammu Kashmir is not any part of India."
Meanwhile, Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Haji Muhammad Rajab Baigh who was a veteran social leader and chairman of Western Motor Transport Company. Terming the deceased as a good human being and prominent social leader, Malik said, "His demise is a loss for the society.". He prayed for patience of his bereaved family.
