‘Strengthen joint resistance leaders’ unity’

Incarcerated ameer of Muslim Deeni Mahaz (MDM) Dr Muhammad Qasim today said the entire pro-freedom camp should put in efforts to strengthen the unity forged among joint resistance Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yaseen Malik.

"Since India is unleashing offensive after offensive on us, therefore need of the hour is that we should unite under the unified leadership to resist these offensives," a spokesman of the MDM, in a statement today, quoted Dr Qasim as having said.

Dr Qasim said, "Those pro-freedom activists who knowingly or unknowingly are trying to create rifts in this unity are actually serving Indian interests. I request these people to support the unified leadership. They should advise them, obey their programmes and if there are some weaknesses in the leadership, they should meet them and point it out to them.  Any fissures in this unity will be a great loss to the resistance movement."  "No pro-freedom leader or activist can be threat to another pro-freedom person. All of us are brothers," Dr Qasim said, appealing to Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yaseen Malik to maintain close contact with pro-freedom activists and youth.
