India, Pakistan can’t remove UN office from Srinagar: Soz

Former Union Minister and senior congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz on Sunday said that neither India nor Pakistan can remove the UN office from Srinagar.

In a statement, Soz said, "Jammu's BJP MLA Ravinder Raina represented the BJP's wishful thinking that this party can adopt innovations that can resolve BJP's crisis in its relation with Pakistan and its stubborn attitude of ignoring the recent revolt in Kashmir and not initiating the dialogue process."

"The BJP MLA will have realized the 'absurdity' of suggesting the removal of UN office from Srinagar, as neither India nor Pakistan can do it. I have an assessment that by the time the elections in Uttar Pradesh are over, Prime Minister Modi will have realized that the only course available to India is opening the Composite Dialogue with Pakistan and also opening an effective dialogue with the people of Kashmir, especially, the Hurriyat Conference which recently represented the anger in the minds of Kashmiris," he said.
