Amid a partial shutdown against killing of two civilians and two militants in Padgampora by forces last week, clashes erupted at Tahab area here on Sunday.
A complete shutdown was observed in the district for past three consecutive days to mourn the killings.
Reports said there was partial shutdown in Pulwama town. The passenger transport was off the roads, however the private transport was plying on the roads. Shutdown was also observed in interior areas of the district.
In the afternoon, youth took to streets at Tahab and pelted stones on forces personnel outside CRPF camp who lobbed teargas shells to disperse the youth. However, the clashes continued for about three hours. Two youth sustained injuries in the clashes.
Complete shutdown was also observed in Beegumbagh, Banderpora, Koil and Tahab, the native villages of the slain youth and Militants.
Two militants were killed by forces in an encounter in Padgampora village of Pulwama on March 9. Two civilians including a 15 year old boy were killed during clashes with forces.
