Callous SMC officials

My name is Furqan-ul-Aalam. I'm a student of class 12th. I had participated in an essay competition on Srinagar Smart City around 6 months ago when I was in Class 11th. I had bagged the first prize, according to news  published in Greater Kashmir on November 17, 2016. Till date I haven't received the first prize. The SMC officials called me four times in between to their office at Karanagar, but all in vain. When they called me the fourth time and I went, I thought they'd give me my prize but they didn't. I got frustrated and finally asked them if they had any intention of giving me my prize and why did they call me at the first place. They replied that they called me as they don't remember anything due to their bust schedule and my coming in person would help them remember. Due to their callous attitude I missed my school four times in the process.

I mean, Sir, just look at how careless they are they don't have any idea about how much time they have wasted. These people want Srinagar to be a smart city yet they don't act like it at all. I would like people of Kashmir to know, how smart are the people, who run Kashmir.

Repair Kenihama Road

We the residents of Kenihama and adjacent villages appeal Works Minister Naeem Akhtar to visit our area to see for himself the dilapidated condition of this important road which leads to the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The said road is in dilapidated condition, causing immense hardships to locals and commuters. It would be in larger public interest to repair the road on priority.

It is to be mentioned here that our area was neglected always by successive regimes.  We had brought this important issue in the notice of concerned authorities and concerned MLA many times but till date our pleas have flat on deaf ears.

Make super specialists available at Sopore hospital

This is in reference to the news published by Greater Kashmir that there is no cardiologist available in north Kashmir. According to Director Health Services Kashmir, one cardiologist has been deputed at district hospital Baramulla. We want to bring it into the notice of the authorities that patients from Bandipora and Kupwara don't visit Baramulla town for treatment. These super specialist doctors should be made available in Sopore hospital also so that patients from far flung areas too are benefitted due to these specialist doctors.  We hope government and DHSK would look into this and keep super specialist doctors available at in Sopore hospital also.

Parents appeal Deputy Commissioner Anantnag

We the parents of students of a reputed private school at Wanpoh Anantnag want to draw our kind attention  of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag towards the injustice being done with or wards in the school. The school administration has started overcrowded classes at the ratio of  50:1 by merging two sections of same class into one section. Earlier there were having classes of 25 students and two teachers were being allotted to each class. Now the school administration has put the career of our wards at stake. This has badly hit the quality education of our wards as no individual attention is being paid to them due to the overcrowded classes.

Through teachers we came to know that the school authorities have terminated more than 20 teachers and they have not been paid  salary for their service from the past nine months despite school charging hefty monthly tuition fees and even bus fee as well. When we brought the matter into the notice of the Principal  of the school at Wanpoh Anantnag   he expressed his helplessness. We appeal to Deputy commissioner Anantnag to look into the matter and take stern action against the school authorities as soon as possible so that or wards won't suffer.

Issue general merit list

The much awaited result of Relationship Executives (REs) for JK Bank was announced finally on March 8, 2017, after a gap of 2 years. It's strange that it took so much time for JK Bank authorities to announce the final results. Though we were called for interview when summer unrest was at its peak in 2016 but JK bank authorities took their own time to declare the results. We don't understand how could one student who just attempted 25 questions with accuracy figured in the list and the one who attempted 45 questions with same accuracy was left out.

This year IBPS conducted the online exam for JK bank RE posts and IBPS always issues the scorecard. I on behalf of all the aspirants want to know why they didn't issue the scorecard this time?

I request the JK Bank Chairman to clear the doubts by issuing general merit list so the aspirants who have been dropped would come to know about their short comings and would rectify these in future.
